一类在临界点达最优收敛阶的改进WENO-ZA格式

An improved WENO-ZA scheme achieving the optimal convergence order at critical points

  • 摘要: 为进一步提高WENO-ZA格式的数值精度和收敛精度,通过对经典局部光滑因子引入参数,设计了新型高阶全局光滑因子,使格式在光滑区域的一阶、二阶临界点处都可以达到五阶收敛精度。此外,利用局部光滑因子改进自适应函数,与原自适应函数相比,其在间断处趋于更大的值以维持基本无震荡特性,而在光滑区域则切换为一个小值以降低格式的数值耗散。数值实验证明,改进的格式在临界点收敛精度、数值精度和激波捕捉等方面都具有显著提升。

     

    Abstract: To further enhance the numerical accuracy and convergence accuracy of the WENO-ZA scheme, a novel high-order global smoothness indicator is designed by introducing parameters to the classical local smoothness indicator. This enable the scheme to achieve fifth-order convergence accuracy at both the first-order and second-order critical points in the smooth region. Additionally, the local smoothness indicator is utilized to improve the adaptive function. Compared with the original adaptive function, it tends to a larger value at discontinuities to maintain the basic non-oscillatory property of the scheme, while switching to a smaller value in smooth regions to reduce the numerical dissipation of the scheme. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the improved scheme has significant improvements in convergence accuracy at critical points, numerical accuracy, and shock capturing.
